Who is the primary contact for USFL agents with questions about commissions?
The agents should initially contact their GA with commission questions before contacting the USFL commission department.


What is the minimum commission balance required to generate a check?
The minimum balance required to generate a commission check is $250.00

Does USFL close out and pay commissions earned under $250.00 at year end?
The balances for active agents will be released twice a year, June and December.

When does USFL pay commissions?
The cut-off for policies to be settled is the end of business day every friday. Commission checks and statements are produced the next day and are mailed from the Home Office within 2 business days. All checks and statements are sent to the General Agency.

Will brokers get a statement if he/she earned under $250.00?
No, however, when a check is received the statement will show a "balance forward" amount for the amount carried over from the previous commission cycle. USFL's commission statements will show all commission transactions being paid on the current cycle, including prior activity supporting the balance forward. This information is clearly printed on the commission detail section on the top of the statement. If the detail does not agree with your check amount, please contact our commission department at 513-686-2031. You can also fax this information to our commission department at 513-686-2035.

Does USFL have direct deposit of commission checks?
This feature is not available at this time.

The address on my check or 1099 is incorrect. How do I change my address?
Address changes can be faxed to our Licensing department at 513-792-8508.

The earnings information on my IRS Form 1099 is incorrect. How do I get this corrected?
Contact our commissions department at 513-686-2031 or fax information to our commission department at 513-686-2035.


How does a broker get a check reissued?
Depending on the dollar amount, there may be a 30-day waiting period from the date of issue of the check before we can stop payment and reissue the check. You may want to verify with the Licensing department that we have your correct address.

The premium payment on the policy is $476.00, yet my commissions were calculated on $376.00. What happened to the $100.00 difference?
There is an annual non-commissionable policy fee for our term products (Aries & Gemini). The breakdown on the fees for the premium payments according to what mode of payment they are on is as follows:

The website indicates my policy was settled, however, I did not receive my commissions. What could be the problem?
Check the premium amounts of the policy, if your commission amount is under $75.00, no check will be generated. Or, we may be holding your commissions because our Licensing department may not have all your required paperwork. Licensing Requirements are posted on our website.
